Position Summary Information

Primary Purpose

Thank you for your interest in the McGeorge School of Law Exam Proctor position for University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. We accept applications year-round and hold interviews twice per year. Our next interview period will be early February 2017.

McGeorge School of Law is seeking Exam Proctors. This is a temporary, part-time position which may required evening and weekend work.

Essential Functions

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• interact with examinees
• assist with test administration
• assist in checking in or out examinees
• follow all written and oral directions provided by the Faculty Support Office
• organize, distribute and collect all test materials as directed by the Faculty Support Office
• maintain test security to ensure confidentiality, integrity of test materials, and test procedures
• lift or transport test materials to/from testing room from/to the Faculty Support Office (with hand truck)
• maintain a professional and pleasant atmosphere to create an environment for optimal test performance for all examinees.

Minimum Qualifications

Provide excellent, professional customer service and possess strong people skills. Have the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and follow written instructions. Work in a team atmosphere with frequent interruptions. Work effectively with a diverse population. Uphold the confidentiality and integrity of all exams. Proctors must be comfortable with dealing with difficult situations. Reliability is essential; proctors must be on time and dependable. Intermediate computer skills required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Special Considerations: Exams are occasionally conducted in the evenings and on Saturdays.
