Position Description

The Department of Communication in the College of the Pacific invites applicants to apply for a full-time faculty position; PhD required; ABD considered; professional experience a plus; interest in new media a plus. This is a nine-month appointment with teaching responsibility for five courses for the 2017-18 academic year when we expect to conduct a tenure-track search for the position. The position requires ability in the following subject areas: Introduction to Public Relations; Public Relations Writing and Production; Public Relations Research; Public Relations Strategy and Implementation (e.g. Case Problems, Campaigns Course); Supervised Public Relations Experience (Internship); and possibly other courses in the department. The position will also oversee our Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter.
